Recently my husband started a new job in the city. Being in Chicago and right off the lake, I knew that he’d be needing something extra warm this fall and winter for the daily walking he does downtown. With this came the creation of the Jon Hat.
With our crazy Illinois weather and unpredictable fall weather, I knew I needed something that would be perfect for mild fall days, but also durable and warm enough to combat those chillier, almost winter-like days of autumn as well. I knew that using Lion Brand Hometown USA yarn would be perfect for the job! There are so many colors to choose from and the yarn is strong, yet soft, and one of the warmest acrylic yarns I have found to date. Best part? This hat works up super fast and that makes it a great last minute gift or afternoon project!
